Its almost New Years... But I walked today 30 minutes 30 seconds at .05 for ,36 of a mile. Read almost a full chapter...tell you more latter.

Day 4

I built an island stand for my kitchen yesterday and then painted it, this am I dragged it int om house then into the kitchen then spent the day painting some wall cabinets I had built. I'm tired... BUT, LOL can't just forget to do it... I walked, yes that's right after spending the biggest part of the day on my feet already I walked.. congratulate me...

39 minutes 6 seconds at .05, I was reading the Dragon riders of Pern and it was first fall... so of course it just breezed by. Lessa the Queen's rider will soon figure out she has to save the planet of Pern.

Oh this just makes the walking so much eaiser!.. after I start loosing I'll speed up the Bowflex.. right now I have to get used to the walking..

Well you have a good evening I'm tired I might just go to sleep early.

Day 3

Hi,
Been working on my classes, I created a new website for coupons. That should keep me very busy.

Well let's discuss Weight loss here. not hopes and dreams for an indoor bathroom... LOL I said indoor bathroom.  Ask I'll tell you about it.

Got up about 10:30am I contacted The school because one of the video lessons was skipping and I couldn't start the next lesson. Got that done and decided to do my walking.. Lordie do my knees hurt. Anyway I walked 31minutes and 3 seconds at .05 for speed and completed .54 of a mile.

I built me a stand that I can put a book on so I read as I walk and I'm not so bored. I walk longer that way. I'm reading Anne McCaffree's book The Dragon riders of Pern. Have you ever read it? It is a wonderful series. Maybe 15 -20 books - maybe less, can't remember.  We lost Anne McCafree last month and the world is a lesser place for her passing. She was one of the BEST science fiction fantasy writers ever! If you haven't read her.. Try it you'll become a fan with just one book and it does not matter what series.

Well that's how I'm getting better at walking. The stand isn't much to look at.. it is higher then the control panel on the bowflex I have. It allows a book to be placed on it and you can read as you walk.. anything to help improve the boredom of just walking...

day one

Got up at 11:00 started the computer and got a isp management error got that fixed and was on the bowflex treadclimber. by 1245, I did a full 30 minutes of walking at 1.0 speed. I read while walking to get my mind off the boring exercise.... whatever at least I did it..

I just spent the day creating a website for this blog. hopefully I've matched up the coloring pretty well.

I love creating graphics, to bad I'm not a better artist.. But I do have fun doing it. Finished building shelves in my kitchen. I'll post pictures when I'm done.
My daughter - lives in Texas, is getting her surgery for carpel tunneling rescheduled. and life right now seems just wonderful!

I walked today .. only 15 minutes and only at .06 miles per hour.... lol but I did walk.

been at it 35 days

Hi,
Guess I'm a little in need of having a talk to.. You know the kind where your mom sits down and lectures you about how your treating yourself?

You never think, you have time for you???!! If you don't who will? Anyone can succeed but you have to want it bad enough!

I'm fat, my health isn't good I hurt when I stand up more then a hour or so and I can't breath as I have BAD COPD! But am I really trying to get all this off me?  Is it important enough to do something about.. ?? I must make it that important. No skipping days of writing.. When I don't walk because no one is here to read about it.. Does it really matter what you think about me.. No it matters what I think about me. It matters that I think I'm worth the effort.. So am I?  Yes!
So quit sitting around talking about it and do something.. Guess, I'm lecturing me! It is so much easier to do nothing...

29th day of trying to lose weight.

Hi,
Guess I have to live here in this blog by my self.. there is a song... the loneliest number is the number one.. cause its by its self..

I walked on the tread mill today, but yesterday The guy who helps me build things came by to hang the shed door he built for me... Not the shed I built that he did my door.  Anyway, we started at 1pm and then he went and worked on chopping wood, and I started cleaning my porch and building shelves for the junk on the porch well I finished at 9:15 pm. I was so tired I did not walk any on the tread mill..

24th day to lose 100 lbs - Snow flakes.

Snow flakes - wow winter has started and doing a thirty minute per day three times a week can be even harder, but not impossible. try marching in place if you can't get outside. The Veterans Administration has created a video for us older folks. Next time your at your local VA Hospital ask your Dr. for a copy.   I have my copy. It shows you exercises for us older folks.

It almost seems to easy. 

Well, again it has been days since I've been here but I keep at it even if I don't write about it.
Did you see Ramon, on the biggest loser? he won the 26.2 mile marathon - wow... Good work Ramon. Glad to see you back in the fight. and  Vinny wasn't that romantic?  John glad to see you in the last three. Anthony, you kick but guy! Your a winner already! John your so set on winning that I'm afraid after the last weight in you'll just put it all back on . Its like your more interested in winning the money then winning the fight for your life! with out life that money means nothing.

Well. I did walk everyday except I haven't made it to 30 minutes yet!

21 days to lose 100 pounds -

The Great Apple award lol...
I went to the store yesterday Woods its is a small grocery chain store.. any way had top go potty... and they had a scale.. You won't believe it 260. That's down 20 pounds from my last weight in. wow!! It is 2:12 am  and I'm tired. The first I went and bought some kitchen cabinets. they were delivered yesterday so I hung them.. and that is definitely not a job for one person... but they are level and tight up against each other.. Have to take one set back, it is to long 30 inches but I really need a 20 inch instead. So back to home depot tomorrow to replace it.

My sister and I moved to Missouri in 2002 because we both were retired and of a lower income and they had a good deal on some land, One of those nothing down so much a month.. well we bought it un-seen..then came out and looked at it and decided to come out after my sister turned 62 that summer. so now we almost have it paid off..butv we both bought rent to own storage buildings,  we wired, and insulated and put up walls and they are now our houses. But I didn't have wall kitchen cabinets so that's why I bought them. When I get done with the kitchen I'll take pictures.. to show you.

Anyway that's why some days I skip writting cause it takes a lot to build a home out of Ozark woods..
Love it here ...but we need a well so we don't have to carry in water.

You'd think with all the work I'd lose weight.. nope  anyway the 20 pounds I lost deserves the apple award almost forgot made 17 minutes yesterday...

DAY 19 TO LOSE 100 LBS

Well it looks like I'm bad at writing about losing weight. I have been using the tread mill.. I walked 17 minutes today.. LOL while I read a book. been eating right at 1200-1600 calories a day.. need to cut that down.. gave up sugars and sweets maybe once a month I might have a candy bar..but there isn't jellie  syrup sugar in the house at all...

gotta get up at 830 and its 3:48 am right now so night take care and write me

Day 14 to lose 100 lbs

Well  the 25th I got up at 8:15 am.. didn't really want to but.......my dog would not let me sleep she just stood beside the bed and whined until I gave up.

I did 11.13 minutes at 1.5 speed that was a really small .26 miles... LOL I'm getting better!
had a bowl of oatmeal... Bob at biggest loser eats that every morning. I guess I will too.
Didn't have lunch till 1:30 and it was 1/2 cup dressing probably way to high in calories.

Then a tv tyoe pizza for 340 cals. not to bad for the day...

Day 13 to lose 100 lbs + Black Friday

Hi,
Well I'm posting for the day before This is the 24's posting...
Well I started off pretty early some fool who won't admit it did a text message to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving.. but at 6:15 am....woooooo I'm a night person... LOL so at about ten AM my daughter Chelly called me to wish me Happy Thanksgiving... that was Ok, we talked about an hour... hopefully since I finally got her to go to my business site she will work her way to the blogs..

Well at about 1PM I walked on the tread mill for 10 minutes.. yea I know that is not 30 minutes but something is better then nothing..

I know why they named the day after Thanksgiving Black Friday do you?... All those bad thoughts about how many pounds you put on...eating.. Well I had on chicken drum stick and about 1/2 cupp dressing.. and let it go at that didn't even have breakfast...

Well good luck on getting that fat off.

First let me say I hope your thanksgiving is wonderful and that there isn't any family fighting. I watched the biggest loser both last night and tonight. It was a nice show. They did a lot of pieces about old winners. and showed how a bunch of the winners look and what they are doing today.

Well I did not walk tuesday but I did 15:37 today. Worked a long time on the new Gaming pages for my website. Oh Lordie I just realized I spelled gaming wrong... I'll have to fix it in the morning...

Day 11 to lose 100 lbs

But, ultimately, it is you the person who is responsible for the condition of being over weight. WE must start eating wiser. Consume less, of the high calorie foods and more of the lower/vegetables/high fiber foods.

This takes a whole new outlook on what foods you buy and use to cook with.

I have a tendency to sabotage myself, why I'm not really sure, But I must walk up to 30 minutes per day. You would think how easy, only 30 minutes per day? no real hard exercise, just walking and yet that is the hardest thing for me to do.

I walked 7 minutes yesterday 21 November,
Breakfast coffee - 2 Tbs non dairy creamer, 60 cals
2 slices bread 140 cals margarine 1Tbs 60 cals
1egg 100 cals

lunch a home made soup 400 cals (just a guess) = 860

10 fish sticks  6=350 4-150= 500 cals
brockly - 1/2 cup = 100 cals
2 bread 140 + margarine 60=  1660  total +
I drink coffee  and water.... 

need to reduce intake or/and increase walking.  No star for today....

Day 3-4-5-6-7-8 to lose 100 pounds

Monday Nov 14,
I spent 4 and a half  hours helping my sister fix her roof. She just had a friend build her a covered porch. Did a wonderful job, but really did a lousy job putting on rolled roofing. It leaked horribly so we fixed it. That didn't leave much time for walking on my tread mill or writing down what I ate or much of anything. I hurt so bad.You see I have an artificial knee and don't get on my hands and knees nor bend well with back problems. but it had to be done and she has no extra money to hire some one to fix it. Hasn't rained since then so hopefully what she did will have fixed it.

So although all that is true, it seems like an excuse when you see that this is the 18th and for four days I did not blog about losing weight.
I will get better. I will get better. I will get better!

Day 2

Hi,
I did not intend for all this time to pass by before I came here to write. I got up at 10:30 am and had my first cup of coffee. then at 1:00 pm I went out to start working on my sister's roof. A neighbor built her porch for her, wonderful porch but the roofing was horrible. It leaked like a sieve. I spent 4and 1/2 hours on the roof repairing. Hopefully, it will not leak now, but I had forgotten to eat before I started and I was so hungry when I got done.. So no walking today, but I did work for four hours. I have an artifical knee in my right leg and standing for long periods does hurt some.

Dinner was a 5pm, a tv dinner no bread or butter 340  caleries I added a 1/2 cup of assorted frozen vetables say 150 cals.
Then at 9 pm I ate another tv dinner for 240 catories 2 slices of bread 160 cats and butter 60 cals
1 soda cal free__________________________________________________

John, my brother and I,  he was 22 and I was 16

10:30 a cup of coffee creamer 4 tesp=40 calories sweetener =0
11:30m1/2  cup dry oatmeal= 150n cals
2 slices of bread 160 cals. 1 tbsp margarine = 60 calories
3:30 michelinas sweet&siour chicken = 300
2 slices bread = 160 cals  margarine 1tbsp = 60
1 8oz glass of water
7:00pm       fish sticks = 360, dressing =180  Bread 160, margine = 120 1/2 cup creamed corn = 100
9:00 2 apples 200

             total calories for day 2,050   oh my I did not think it was that much
2,050 caloreis and only14.28 min/sec of a slow workout...

Lordie no loss there.
do better tomorrow, at least I did walk...thats better then not walking..

Day 1 to lose 100 lbs

 Light as a feather- LOL not even

Well, got a phone call that woke me up so thought I'd better get out of bed... LOL here I am world bright and shinny.. yea right. I am not a morning person, period. then I pluged the bowflex in and walked a very slow .5 for 14 minutes and .28 seconds. Not much but hey its a starter. they say every little bit helps. Hope they (the know alls in the either net- have to say there cause no one can ever tell you who they are) know what their talking about.
So the next step is to record every little nibble I take into my mouth. Ya gotta start some where. This is my start.


In projects I've accomplished in my life, the main concern was that you need to keep a positive attitude, and to be proud of what you accomplish every step, every way, every day.

gruuuuurrrrrrr (Growling) I hate smiley faced people early morning. eck!! yes 9:30 is early morning!!

Wow a complete change

I thought to myself - Self why do you need four blogs all about Internet marketing, Products, Genealogy and Genetic genealogy. I don't. What I do need is help with is losing weight. I'm 66 year old female I''m a short 5'41/2" tall. By short I mean we lose height as we grow older. I weight 280 pounds. Yes, grossly over weight.  Do I over eat, I don't think so. Do I eat constantly, no can't afford that...

So What's wrong for me? I'm not motivated, I have a couple thousand dollar Bowflex tread mill that sits right beside my computer.. Do I get off my but to use it... No... Hopefully this blog, where I will truthfully write down when and how long I walked will help. Hopefully you will encourage me as I hope to encourage you.

Thought about applying for the Biggest loser, but I'd hate to have Bob hollaring at me!

So are you up to helping me out?

Hopefully we can help each other. You know you don't have to be unhappy to have allowed yourself to gain weight, but you do need friends to help you take it back off.
